According to legend, the Lacryma Christi wine owes its name to the tears that Jesus shed over Vesuvius when Lucifer stole a piece of Paradise to shape the Gulf of Naples.
Her tears enriched the lands and allowed noble vines to grow.
The Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso DOC is a fine wine, obtained from Piedirosso and Aglianico grapes grown on the slopes of the volcano .
Its intense ruby colour has violet reflections and its aroma is reminiscent of violets and sweet violets, accompanied by notes of liquorice and noble woods .
