Additional details

Teeling Single Grain was awarded the World's Best Grain Whisky at the 2014 World Whiskies Awards.

It is matured entirely in Californian red wine barrels which added an intense amber color with fruity and blueberry notes.

This single grain was hand-selected and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtering.

On the nose we have notes of fruit and spices that mix together followed by light floral notes and brown sugar.

On the palate it is warm with notes of spice, grapes, blueberries and a light hint of butter.

The finish is medium-length, dry and dominated by notes of wood and spice.

The Teeling Whiskey Co. is the heir to an ancient dynasty of Irish distillers, the Teelings, who have been active in the sector since 1782. The company is today run by brothers Jack and Stephen Teeling, who until recently held top positions at the Cooley Distillery, before it was sold to the American group Jim Beam.

The Teeling Whiskey Co. today aims to bring back to the market the authentic, now lost, artisanal tradition of high-quality Irish whiskey: for this reason its emblem is the image of a phoenix “reborn” from a stylized still.

To make their entrepreneurial mission concrete and visible, Jack and Stephen Teeling opened their company in the heart of Dublin, the capital of the Republic of Ireland, where no whisky-related businesses had been established for over a century.
