Additional details

Our story begins in the early 20th century with the pioneering spirit of two families in the Aube region of Champagne: Emile Hérard and his son-in-law Georges Fluteau.

The Fluteau house was born from their passion for creating Champagne from this recently recognized wine region.

Our Champagnes are produced on the estate: only grapes grown in our vineyards are used to produce Champagne Fluteau.

Located on the slopes along the Seine Valley, the vineyard is planted with a majority of Pinot Noir with 15% Chardonnay, ideal for the clay soils and cool climate of the Cote de Bars region.

We are hands-on growers: at Champagne Fluteau we have been HVE certified sustainable since 2017.

We constantly review research and adapt relevant practical decisions based on careful observation of nature and in accordance with the season and weather, in a never-ending quest to produce the highest quality grapes and, ultimately, wine.

At harvest time, the grapes are picked by hand and handled with the utmost care so that the whole bunches arrive at the press in excellent condition.

Recommended pairings

Excellent paired with light fish dishes. It also pairs well with crab salads and fish tartare.

Serving temperature

Serve in a champagne flute at 8°C
