A symbol of Maison Janneau and its style, VSOP is a blend of eaux-de-vie made from carefully selected Baco, Ugni Blanc, and Folle Blanche grapes, aged for 20 years in oak barrels. All grapes are grown in the Bas Armagnac and Ténarèze regions .
Distillation is carried out by combining two methods: single pot direct fire stills and double distillation in steam stills, typical of Cognac.
It has an amber color with golden reflections. On the nose, notes of
figs, honey, caramel, leather, wood and tannins . On the palate there are hints of
dried white grapes, fruit and spices.
