Interesting fact: The Filu 'e Ferru' spirit, better known in Italy as "Acquavite di Sardegna," has very deep origins. The name, literally translated, means "iron wire." The reason for this goes back a hundred years, to the days of Prohibition, when even in Sardinia private distillation was prohibited. This prohibition had incredible effects: for every man there was a still. Virtually everything on the island was distilled clandestinely. And, to evade judicial scrutiny, the containers of the precious spirit were hidden underground and, to be able to locate their exact location later, they were tied with one or more iron wires, one end of which protruded from the ground.

Paper different from others on the market, a great excellence in the sector.

It is made from the distillation of selected Vernaccia pomace, which is left to ferment and only after a month undergoes an initial distillation with passage in steam currents.

After a long period of rest, the pomace undergoes a second distillation, but this time in a copper pot still, paying the utmost attention to separating the head and tails of the distillate, leaving only the heart, the most valuable part, for bottling.
