Its plum is harmoniously fleshy from the very nose. This signals its lively, contouring acidity, the sumptuous extractive smoothness in which it reaches the senses, rounded and glycerin-enveloped. A plum of olfactory clarity , of uncommon oxidative integrity, judging by the crystalline cleanliness and vivid strength of its aroma. A wine of excellent analytical and sensorial quality , which, with a persistence equal to its immediate fragrance, always offers an enveloping and soft sign of its compositional balance. A champion, then, with fruit of excellent, enveloping and vivid expressive quality.

Additional details

For over three generations, continuing the wise experience passed down from Grandfather Francesco and Father Angelo, our company has been producing grapes from its own native vineyards in the heart of Salento. The company is located in the province of Taranto, in the municipality of Torricella, a prime Primitivo di Manduria winemaking area, about 3 km from the Ionian Sea, in the "Li Cameli" and "Li Janni" districts, from which our finest wines take their names.

The estate has a total vineyard area of approximately 20 hectares, and produces exclusively Primitivo di Manduria. The vines, primarily trained using the "Pugliese alberello" system, grow on medium-clay and "terra rossa" soils, benefiting from the sun and mild, breezy climate; these factors alone favor the production of top-quality grapes with high alcohol content.

In addition to the land and climate, together with my brothers Francesco and Valentino, we personally take care of the cultivation of the vineyards, which is carried out using modern techniques, but with the utmost attention to ecological and biological balance, and with the utmost respect for the environment and the plants.

The work in the vineyard is meticulous: after careful pruning, in good time, the bunches are thinned and exposed to the sun to achieve a select maximum production of 50-60 quintals per hectare.

The harvest is done by hand, with care and delicacy, and with a further meticulous selection of the best bunches.

Fermentation, vinification and maturation take place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, and the wine is then refined in the bottle for at least six months.
