The first Premium Rum created after the Cuban Revolution was La Progresiva de Vigia Mezcla 13. Initially, the numbered bottles were reserved for Heads of State and a few privileged individuals selected by the Cuban regime.

The rum has an intense and luminous honey color . On the nose, the aromas are bold and rich, reminiscent of tropical fruit with light salty nuances . On the palate, the flavor is succulent and fruity, accompanied by spicy notes and a delicate touch of salt .

Ron La Progresiva de Vigia is a rum producer located in Cuba. Founded in 1901, it is one of the oldest rum distilleries on the island. The name "La Progresiva" means "progress" in Spanish and reflects the company's philosophy, which has always been committed to improving the quality of its product and innovating its production. La Progresiva de Vigia rum is artisanally produced, with careful selection of ingredients and the use of traditional distillation methods. The aging cellar is located near Finca Vigia, meaning "lookout," located near the village of Nauyu. La Progresiva's product range includes a series of premium rums, including Mezcla 13, the first premium rum created after the Cuban Revolution, and Mezcla 23, a rum aged for 23 years. Each bottle of La Progresiva rum is hand-numbered to ensure product authenticity. The company is also committed to preserving the environment and supporting the local community.
