Ron Maja, 8, comes from the smallest country in Central America, El Salvador, which has a tropical climate and volcanic soil that is very suitable for growing sugar cane.
It is an old 19th century formula that two businessmen decided to bring back by appealing to the famous Cuban rum maker, Don Pancho Fernandez.
This is a molasses rum distilled in first column stills with aging faithful to the Spanish solera method of using old American white oak bourbon barrels, minimum age 8 years 12 years old.
