Agricultural rum produced in the state of Haiti, which is left to mature for 4 years in Limousine oak barrels.

Pale golden yellow in color, it opens on the nose with fresh and delicate notes of barley sugar, mead, apple, currant and light hints of acacia.

The taste is light, fine, velvety, with fruity hints, nutmeg and ground pepper.

Additional details

It was in 1862 that a certain Dupré Barbancourt created his first cane juice rum, the quality of which was recognized throughout the world at the end of the 19th century since it was consumed in the elegant Parisian cafés of the Belle Epoque.

Since 1952, the brand has also owned sugar cane fields, currently 120 hectares which cover approximately 20% of its needs.

The 2010 earthquake in Haiti profoundly affected the distillery, both humanely and materially. Four employees died, fifty lost their homes, and the owner did too.

The distillery lost $4 million in inventory.

He had to stop his activity for four months but is gradually recovering, thanks in particular to the solidarity of American and French rum lovers.

Annual production is currently around one million litres, so the stock is gradually being replenished.
