The origin of the name is shrouded in the mists of popular tradition: it ranges from the “ shepherd's grapes ” consumed by poor people like shepherds, to the “ sheep's grapes ” who were crazy about its yellow, very sweet grapes.

Cultivated in huts (tent or Abruzzese pergola), the training system that best restores the vine's natural vegetative development .

Spontaneous fermentation works with what nature offers each year and relies on the strength and health of the land and the vineyard to obtain grapes rich in yeasts essential for fermentation in the cellar.

Straw yellow in colour, intense on the nose , with hints of broom, white-fleshed fruit and ethereal notes, fresh, intense, savoury and full-bodied on the palate .

In the vineyard
Cultivated using a pergola system (awning or Abruzzo pergola), the training system that best restores the vine's natural vegetative development.

Inside the huts, on a horizontal wire roof, the vine grows harmoniously and naturally, its leaves soaking up the wind and sun.

A non-mechanized cultivation method and therefore dependent on the manual skills and experience of the winemaker.

Vine cultivation in huts will continue as long as small peasant properties survive.

In the cellar
100% Demeter biodynamic grapes.
