The name Kamiki means Breath of God and derives from Ōmiwa, one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan (in Nara), a tutelary temple of Japanese alcohol producers .
Kamiki is a blended malt whisky , not chill-filtered, created in limited batches (small batch) with rare Japanese malt whiskies, it is the first whisky in the world to be finished in Japanese cedar casks and cherry wood casks (Sakura in Japanese).
Kamiki is the world's first whisky finished in Japanese cedar barrels , used for centuries in the construction of temples and called “Yoshino Sugi”, considered the best wood for the production of barrels for Japanese drinks , thanks to its refreshing scent.
Sakura Wood Japanese Whisky is the special version of the traditional Kamiki with a much longer and more intense aging in Cherry and Cedar barrels .
