Tomintoul Peated is distilled using peated barley malt to impart a distinctive smoky flavour . Matured in the distillery's finest ex-Bourbon American oak casks , Tomintoul Peated retains the basic, approachable, sweet and fruity characteristics associated with Tomintoul Single Malts, but with the addition of a subtle hint of smoke.
TASTING NOTES
On the nose it is sweet and smoky with hints of smoke , gingerbread, coffee, grilled meat and the freshness of nettle. On the palate there are notes of hazelnut , smoked bacon,
Molasses, toasted oats, peat, licorice, and lemon zest . The finish is smoky with notes of hazelnuts, coffee, peppers, toasted pecans, and soft spices .
