Mauricia Rum Signature is produced from pure fresh sugar cane juice , the rum is aged in Ex-Cognac, Ex-Bourbon and new American oak barrels.
Golden in color . On the nose, it is slightly herbaceous and floral, with notes of citrus zest that accompany softer notes of honey and vanilla.
It is fresh and slightly woody, with light roasted notes.
On the palate it is warm and dry, with notes of toasted wood that accompany a sweet spiciness in a rather long and rounded finish.
The fresh cane juice ferments for 30 hours, with a culture of selected yeasts.
The must is distilled at 94% abv, in a continuous still from South Africa.
Mauricia is therefore, to use a term in vogue, a Single Estate rum , belonging to all intents and purposes to the category of agricole rums .
