This release combines the textural characteristics of Sugarlandia with the rich tropical flavors of the coast. It draws particular inspiration from the traditional dish "Ginataang Langka" (a coconut and jackfruit stew).

Made from 100% sugarcane molasses sourced from the island of Negros, Don Papa Alon is distilled under the influence of the unique volcanic climate surrounding the slopes of Mount Kanlaon. It is then infused with the exotic and surprising flavors of jackfruit, coconut, and chili pepper.

On the nose, it is aromatic and tropical with hints of coconut, lime, pineapple, papaya, mango, jasmine flowers, vanilla, lychee, and sweet, creamy pastry notes . On the palate, it is rich, dense, and enveloping, with notes of tropical fruit, figs, Demerara sugar, lime juice, and chili pepper . The aftertaste is long, persistent, and balanced, with hints of tropical fruit and vanilla.

Additional details

Don Papa takes his name from Papa Isio, a great revolutionary hero in the war of liberation of the Philippines from Spanish domination.

His legendary energy and indomitable spirit live on in every bottle that bears his name today.

Don Papa is produced, aged and bottled on the island of Negros, the most important sugarcane producing area in the Philippines.

This beautiful island, characterized by rugged mountain ranges, vast white beaches and impenetrable lush jungles, thanks to its volcanic soil produces one of the richest and sweetest cane sugars in the world.

Launched in 2012 in the Philippines, Don Papa immediately began to attract interest from all major Western markets, from the United States to Europe.
