Il vitigno Syrah originariamente proviene dalla città di Schiraz, in Persia, da cui pare giunto nel nostro paese nell’antichità attraverso la città di Siracusa.

Rosso rubino, al naso sentori di spezie come il pepe e piccoli frutti rossi come il ribes , carrube, ciliegie. In bocca è caldo, giustamente tannico, intenso, con un finale di frutta rossa in confettura e nocciola tostata.

The Syrah grape variety originally comes from the city of Schiraz , in Persia, from where it appears to have arrived in our country in ancient times via the city of Syracuse .

Ruby red , with hints of spices such as pepper and small red fruits such as currants, carob, and cherries on the nose. On the palate, it is warm, tannic , and intense, with a finish of red fruit jam and toasted hazelnut.

Origin and history of the vine
The Syrah grape variety originally hails from the city of Schiraz in Persia, from where it appears to have arrived in Italy in ancient times via the city of Syracuse. It spread throughout France (Côte du Rhône) and the New World, especially in warmer wine regions such as Australia, South Africa, and California. In recent times, Syrah has spread to Italy from France (around the mid-1800s) and has found its ideal territory in our warmer regions (Sicily).

Growing area:
The Castelli Romani area is located on volcanic soil, more precisely in the municipality of Albano Laziale in the province of Rome.
