The name Kamiki means Breath of God and derives from Ōmiwa, one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan (in Nara), a tutelary temple of Japanese alcohol producers .

Kamiki is a blended malt whisky , not chill-filtered, created in limited batches (small batch) with rare Japanese malt whiskies, it is the first whisky in the world to be finished in Japanese cedar casks and cherry wood casks (Sakura in Japanese).

Kamiki is the world's first whisky finished in Japanese cedar barrels , used for centuries in the construction of temples and called “Yoshino Sugi”, considered the best wood for the production of barrels for Japanese drinks , thanks to its refreshing scent.

Sakura Wood Japanese Whisky is the special version of the traditional Kamiki with a much longer and more intense aging in Cherry and Cedar barrels .

The name Kamiki is composed of the Japanese words “Kami” meaning “God” and “Iki” meaning “Breath” and derives from Ōmiwa, one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan (in Nara), a tutelary temple of Japanese alcohol producers.

Kamiki is a small-batch, unchill-filtered blended malt whisky made from rare Japanese malt whiskies blended with pure, high-quality Japanese spring water.

Kamiki is the world’s first whisky finished in Japanese cedar barrels, known as “Yoshino Sugi” and used for centuries in temple construction. Cedar is considered the finest wood for making barrels for Japanese beverages, thanks to its refreshing aroma.

It is also known for its pleasant, smooth texture that helps calm the mind and body.

Perfectly balanced, it surprises with notes of heather, honey, Japanese plum, oak, peat, hints of sandalwood and green tea.

Produced by Yoshino Spirits in Osaka, Japan, it comes in an elegant gift box.

Available in 50cl bottles with a red label on the neck and an alcohol content of 48% vol., this product has already won awards such as the gold medal at the San Diego Spirits Festival and the Global Spirit Awards in Las Vegas, as well as the very important silver medal at the 2017 IWSC International Wine & Spirit Competition.

Recommended pairings

Excellent paired with smoked meats. It also pairs well with dark chocolate.
