Distilled on the Isle of Islay , off the southwest coast of Scotland. The Islay malts used to produce Smokey Joe are very particular and take their character from both the local peat , used to dry the barley , and the proximity to the sea . To keep the unique and natural characteristics intact, it is unfiltered to ensure all the aromatic components are preserved.
TASTING NOTES
It has a deep golden color with amber reflections. On the nose, it is intense and savory with hints of smoke , citrus, wood, pear, and melon. On the palate, it is balanced between its peaty and spicy characteristics with notes of black pepper . The finish is savory.
